Forgotten Tales of Cabina: The Tyrants' Seed

It was noon and I'd just gotten my new uniform. A dark grey colored blazer, a white shirt and formless pants the color of the blazer. The principal waited outside the room while I changed into them. I'd been transferred from a school up north years ago. This may not mean much to you but in  those days, the northern-born were held in absolute reverence; gods amongst men. Angry at the unjust way my people treated others and quickly loosing whatever faith I had in humanity, I made a choice...I would have no part in such segregation. My father of course would have none of it, he couldn't bear the thought of siring a 'weak spawn'. Little time passed before I was tossed out and left to my own devices. Seeing no possible profit from remaining in a land I hated, I set out on a journey without a destination. A few days later, I came upon a family that ran a small school just beyond the borders of the north. There I stayed for a time before a traveling scholar came upon me and greatly seeing promise in whatever intelligence I undoubtedly displayed, he recommended me to a school in a far away land to the south. Whoever he was, he must have been quite important; it wasn't long before a pair of travelers from the school came looking for me. Again seeing no future in my continuous stay at the white-washed snow cursed lands of the north, I set out immediately with the travelers. Now here I stand, a stranger in the strangest of lands....The Kingdom of Cabina. I had no prior knowledge of this place or her people, their alien beliefs, their strange foods and culture. I was awed by the magical and surreal surroundings around me. Having lived in a world of white and cold for a good part of my youth its excusable that I'd be overcome by the existence that was the land of Cabina!
Alas, my fantasy was not to last forever, such a place was not for one such as I. A couple of years passed and news came to the kingdom that an army from the north marched for the walls of Cabina.
Thus my father hunts me again, for it his very army that has brought the once colorful Kingdom of Cabina to a dour and dark state. Seasons have passed and seasons have I seen the good people of Cabina live through all that humanity is destined to face in this world called Arthes. I have made my decision- these people will come to no harm!
Here I stand, in the prestigious Cabina war academy of sorcery and darker arts. My hands tremble as I put on my new uniform, perhaps remnants of my blood rage against this betrayal? Possible, but my heart beats steady and my eyes see clear....there will be no more gods.
